Prague, May 15 (CTK) – Summer camps for children will have to observe strict sanitary rules as a protection against the coronavirus epidemic this summer, Czech chief public health officer official Jarmila Razova said, unveiling the recommendations for the camps in this season.

The camps will have to make thorough health checks of the children and the camp staff when they enter it, Razova said.

The camps will have to have fewer than 300 persons, but if the epidemiological situation is good, the number may be raised to 500 as of June 8.

In tent camps, the number will be limited to 100.

The camps may be held as of June 27. Their participants should not travel by mass transport and visit towns, swimming pools, castles and chateaux. Parents’ visits should be reduced, too.

All of them will have to present a certificate on their children not having any infection, which must not be older than one day.

The parents should also present a medical examination from this year, saying whether the children in question are apt to take part in the summer camp. Usually, its duration is two years, thanks to which the parents use it repeatedly.

The camps will have sufficient reserves of disinfectants, soaps, running water and toilet paper. The children must have their own towels.

After every camp course ends, its whole space must be disinfected.

In shopping malls, children’s clubs, relaxation zones and other areas where people may congregate must not function even after May 25, when restaurants will reopen, Health Minister Adam Vojtech (for ANO) said today.

Shopping malls are prepared for reopening, having limited the number of seats and set up distances between individual tables. They will be regularly disinfected.
