If you’re working in Czechia, your salary doesn’t simply stop when you get sick. The Czech social security system provides income support during temporary incapacity, with your employer and the state taking over responsibility at different stages.

The amount you receive, however, is lower than your normal salary, and the calculation becomes more generous the longer you remain off work.
