For a lot of people, one of the first things that springs to mind when they think of Christmas is the food. Being with family and friends to enjoy delicious festive fare is a central part of the season, and great food is often the focus of events bringing people together.

One restaurant in Prague is offering meal and drinks packages throughout Christmas and the New Year to get guests in the festive spirit. Andaz Prague’s ZEM restaurant, offering innovative food in Senovážné náměstí, is a gorgeous heritage space and the perfect setting for meals throughout the Christmas holidays. Meanwhile, the MEZ Bar will welcome 2023 with a sumptuous New Year’s party including food, cocktails and champagne.

Christmas classics revisited

ZEM’s bistronomy concept created by chef de cuisine Richard Bielik is designed to make memories lasting a lifetime. And when the festive season comes around, that means reimagining Czech Christmas classics in an avant-garde style with typical local flavors..

On December 25, ZEM will serve a pass-around Christmas Brunch, served at your table, from 12:00 to 15:00. The event is CZK 1,995 per person, which includes unlimited water, soft drinks and prosecco. For an upgrade to champagne, the package costs CZK 2,595.

And on December 24, 25 and 26, ZEM will serve four-course Christmas dinners for CZK 1,995 per person, with an optional wine pairing available for an extra CZK 995 per person. A glass of champagne is included for all guests as a welcome drink. Dinner reservations are open from 18:00 to 21:30, with guests strongly advised to book early due to high demand.

ZEM is also great for a corporate Christmas meal or a larger family gathering, with a private dining room bookable for up to 10 guests, at a minimum spend of CZK 15,000. For all dining options, ZEM’s innovative regular a la carte menu remains available alongside the special Christmas dishes.

Welcome the New Year in style

Andaz Prague is one of the hottest spots in Prague to see in the New Year. Enjoy a sumptuous meal in the ZEM restaurant before joining the party in the MEZ Bar as the clock counts down to midnight.

Dinner and drinks packages include a welcome glass of champagne, a pass-around dinner served at your table, unlimited soft drinks and cocktails, and after-midnight snacks until 03:00, all for CZK 4,995 per person. For unlimited champagne throughout the night, a second package is available for CZK 6,595 per person.

After booking your place, arrive for your dinner in ZEM between 20:00 and 21:30; your table will be reserved and kept for you until three o’clock in the morning. You’ll have free access to the stylish MEZ bar throughout the evening, with DJ sets starting at 22:00 and going until the end of the night.

And just like during the Christmas holidays, it’s also possible to book a private dining room for up to 10 guests with a minimum spend of CZK 15,000.

There are also options for those who’d like to come along for the party without enjoying a meal in the restaurant. Drinks-only packages in the MEZ Bar cover unlimited consumption of soft drinks, wine, cocktails and snacks for CZK 2,495 per person, with the same package plus champagne costing CZK 3,995.

While demand for the ZEM restaurant necessitates a 50 percent deposit to secure your booking, drinks-only packages in the MEZ Bar require 100% deposit to secure the tickets as the party is exclusive with only 150 tickets available.

On New Year’s Day, the ZEM restaurant will exceptionally be open for breakfast from 08:00 to 14:00, making it the ideal spot to enjoy a delicious late breakfast to welcome in 2023.

Traditions remade for today

Andaz Prague’s distinctive ZEM restaurant reimagines traditional flavors, serving them in a modern style for a unique gastronomic concept. Its avant-garde bistronomy combines a classic coffee-house aesthetic with retro-futurist Czech art, literature and engineering from the First Republic era of the 1920s.

Getting the best out of local ingredients, ZEM presents Czech food along with authentic Japanese Izakaya dishes, an informal style of cuisine which, together with the vibrant atmosphere of the MEZ Bar, makes Andaz Prague a top destination for Prague’s food and drink connoisseurs.

Outside the holiday season, breakfast is served in ZEM between 07:00 and 11:00 from Monday to Friday, and until 11:30 on the weekends. Lunch is then served from 12:00 to 15:00, before dinner from 18:00 to 23:00. Popular Sunday brunches are served on the last Sunday of each month.

By artfully juxtaposing the traditional and the modern, ZEM offers a special culinary experience this holiday season. Book now and make this Christmas one to remember.
