The Old Town restaurant Field, named for its free-range dining philosophy, has received a Michelin star, reports Novinky.cz.

Helmed by chef Radek Kašpárek and also notable for its rural chic interior design, it is the third Prague fine-dining establishment to receive the coveted award; Prague restaurants Alcron and La Degustation Bohême Bourgeoise retained their stars this year.

In a statement to the press, chef Kašpárek indicated that the prize was unexpected: “I do not know what to say to you. It gives us incredible value…it’s something unreal.”

The cuisine at Field restaurant is characterized by an emphasis on seasonal ingredients.

One of its most popular dishes is a goose-liver mousse with the texture of chocolate ice cream, but their fantastical amuse-bouche and colorful plating are also stand-outs.
