Each week, our editors will be rounding up the best events for the English-speaking community: places to meet new people, test your knowledge, learn something, or just get out of the house.

This week’s calendar runs from May 25 through May 30, with tips for festivals, outdoor concerts, workshops, food events, and more cultural highlights across Prague.

  • May 26: Let's Talk in Czech is an online discussion club for intermediate Czech learners, meeting every second Tuesday from 7:15 p.m.
  • May 26: Craft while learning Czech at a beginner-friendly workshop at Cože? where participants practice Czech in a relaxed creative setting while making “infinite calendars.”
  • May 28: An evening workshop with Vipul Rikhi offers a small-group singing session focused on traditional Bhakti and Sufi songs.
  • May 29: Church Night opens churches, chapels, and religious sites across Prague for a free evening of concerts, guided tours, exhibitions, and quiet reflection, offering visitors a chance to explore normally inaccessible sacred spaces.
  • May 29: The Career Workshops series at Prague Integration Centre offers tips on CV writing, LinkedIn optimization, and interview preparation.

FOR FOODIES

  • May 27: A guided wine tasting by Moravíno Valtice at Holešovice Market offers an evening of wine sampling with winemaker commentary.
  • May 29–30: Wine Fiesta takes place on Střelecký ostrov, offering tastings from small family wineries from South Moravia and abroad, paired with live music and food options.
  • May 29–31: The Náplavkőőő festival brings Hungarian cuisine and culture to Rašínovo nábřeží, featuring food stalls, wines, live music, traditional dance, and more.
  • May 30: Villa Richter hosts Bubble Wine, offering a tasting of sparkling wines from around the world including Champagne, Prosecco, Cava, and Crémant, set against panoramic views of Prague.
  • May 30: A dim sum making class teaches participants how to prepare traditional Chinese dumplings and sauces from scratch in hands-on workshop led by a native instructor, with meat, seafood, and vegetarian options available.

Networking

  • May 28: A free beginner-friendly running session starting led by CAMP, Archirun Club: Prague Riverbanks combines light group running with informal exploration of Prague’s urban development along the riverbanks.
  • May 28: The Prague Book Club meets at Globe Bookstore & Café to discuss Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.
  • May 28: The British Chamber of Commerce hosts its Annual General Meeting, bringing together member companies in Prague for a formal review of the Chamber’s activities, strategic direction, and governance.

ENTERTAINMENT

  • All week: Prague Fringe Festival is back for its 25th edition, bringing a nine-day international showcase of English-language theatre, comedy, music, and experimental performance across multiple venues on Malá Strana.
  • All week: Khamoro, the World Roma Festival, brings concerts, exhibitions, film screenings, workshops, and a traditional parade through central Prague, culminating in a gala concert celebrating Roma culture and music.
  • May 26: Varhanní Vyšehrad brings a concert of organ and classical music to the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul on Vyšehrad.
  • May 26: Blue October perform at Lucerna Music Bar, marking the 20th anniversary of their album Foiled with a full live rendition of the record.
  • May 27: Glacial, an experimental supergroup featuring Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Tony Buck (The Necks), and David Watson, performs at MeetFactory.
  • May 27: A candlelight concert in Doubek features Indian folk musician Vipul Rikhi performing mystical poetry by Kabir and other Sufi poets.

  • May 29: The Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic performs Depeche Note: Symphonic Tribute at the Congress Centre Prague, reimagining key Depeche Mode tracks in an orchestral concert.
  • May 29–30: Legends, the Czech Republic’s largest motorsport show, takes over Prague Exhibition Grounds with over 1,000 cars and motorcycles.
  • May 29–30: The Prague Lives for Music festival transforms the city into a large busking festival with free concerts, performances, and street art across central Prague and other districts.
  • May 29–30: André Rieu returns to O2 Arena with the Johann Strauss Orchestra for two evenings of classical crossover music in his signature large-scale, theatrical live show.
  • May 30–31: The Pump & Jump Fest at Westfield Černý Most features two days of action sports and family entertainment, including the Czech freestyle scootering championship, BMX and skateboarding shows, and more.

  • May 26: The weekly pub quiz at Philly & Co’s Original Cheesesteaks presents general trivia covering topics from music to sport every Tuesday from 7 p.m.
  • May 26: Manifesto Market hosts an open-air general knowledge quiz night every other Tuesday, with teams competing across a range of topics.
  • May 27: Now in its 17th year, The Globe Quiz Night takes place at Globe Bookstore & Café every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m.
  • May 27: The Under the Sauce Pub Quiz takes place on Wednesdays at Third Coast Pizza in Žižkov from 7 p.m.
  • May 28: The Down Under hosts its weekly pub quiz every Thursday with a relaxed Aussie-themed atmosphere from 7 p.m.
  • May 28: Beckett's Irish Pub hosts its weekly pub quiz every Thursday this spring, with a relaxed Irish-themed atmosphere from 7:30 p.m.
