This week, a Prague police dashcam video captured a man clinging to the back of a moving tram. The footage shows the daredevil darting in front of a parked police car, weaving through pedestrians at a tram stop, and casually stepping onto the tram just as it pulls away.
Police later shared the video on social media, pairing the daring stunt with jazzy Christmas music and a tongue-in-cheek caption:
“This is how you drive through Prague in the afternoon… trams pass by, people rush, and one man apparently mistook public transport for a movie screen and the rear frame of the tram for a Spiderman role.”
Officers quickly intervened, stopping the tram and removing the “Spiderman,” as the post playfully referred to the joyrider. The police then revealed that the man was wanted on an arrest warrant for the manufacture and distribution of drugs, a suspicion confirmed during a subsequent search.

The final frame of the video shows the hood of the police car covered with what appears to be a large bong and other drug paraphernalia.
“The Christmas spirit was in the air, but the gifts came in metal form this time. And the eggnog? He’ll probably miss that at the district court,” police wrote on Facebook, before adding a more serious warning:
“For real though: riding on the rear frame of a tram is extremely dangerous and can be life-threatening. Never put yourself at such risk.”
