Tram service to Prague’s main train station Hlavní nádraží will be disrupted until June 21. Tram lines 5, 9, 13, 15, 16, and 26 plus the night trams 95 and 98 will be affected. Substitute buses will be introduced to take people to and from the train station. The metro at the train station will continue to operate.

The Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) will start the replacement of track structures and arches on the tram line in the area of the U Bulhara underpass from Senovážné náměstí to náměstí Winstona Churchilla.

Tram traffic will be suspended in both directions from 11:30 p.m. on May 19 to 4:30 a.m. on June 21 between the Hlavní nádraží and Husinecká stops. During this closure, passengers can use substitute bus line X9 in daytime operation to Husinecká, Hlavní nádraží, Masarykovo nádraží, and Dlážděná, a temporary stop near Senovážné náměstí. The substitute bus X98 will make several stops between Olšanské hřbitovy and Hlavní nádraží.

There wall also be three daytime substitute tram lines and one night tram line running on new routes to make up for the disrupted tram service, but none of these will go to the Hlavní nádraží,

Service work on the tram tracks will include grinding and welding of rails, leveling of the rails by tamping, repairs of paved surfaces, repairs of large-area panels, and replacement of sleepers. New tracks will be installed in the arches. Some of them will consist of new rails with extend life. The DPP will change more than 500 meters of tracks.
