The iconic team behind Top Gear are back in action later this week on Amazon Prime Video, and this time they're taking on some Czech-made cars. The Grand Tour: Eurocrash premieres on Prime Video on Friday, June 16.

After presenter Jeremy Clarkson parted ways with immensely popular British motoring show Top Gear in 2015, co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond and executive producer Andy Wilman also left the program. They reunited for The Grand Tour with Amazon, which initially ran for four seasons and has returned for a pair of extended specials.

While Amazon has also decided to part ways with Clarkson from 2024, the second of those specials will hit Prime Video on Friday. The first official trailer for the new Grand Tour adventure dropped late last week.

The Grand Tour: Eurocrash takes Clarkson, May, and Hammond through Central and Eastern European countries that were once behind the Iron Curtain, as they head through Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and elsewhere.

In the trailer for the new special, Clarkson can be seen attempting to fit into a Czech-branded race car while Europe's The Final Countdown plays out on the soundtrack. "I genuinely can't get out," he tells Hammond.

During filming of The Grand Tour last summer, Clarkson also shared pictures of himself squeezing into the Škoda 1100 OHC, developed in 1956-57 and one of the most celebrated vehicles ever made by the Czech car manufacturer.

Just two units of this car exist: one is held by a British Škoda dealership, and the other, listed as a protected national monument, is kept at Škoda headquarters in Mladá Boleslav. Clarkson reportedly drove this second unit.

Other Czech cars reportedly featured in the new special include the Praga Bohema, a yet-to-be released high-performance sports car that will be limited to just 89 units, set to be delivered later this year to celebrate the anniversary of Praga's victory at the 1000 Miles of Czechoslovakia race in 1933.

The Grand Tour: Eurocrash will hit Prime Video on Friday, June 16. Subscribers in the Czech Republic can sign up for the streaming platform, will also includes Prague-shot TV series like The Wheel of Time and Carnival Row, for CZK 79 per month.
