Škoda, IKEA, and KPMG have been rated among the Czech Republic’s top employers in their respective fields, according to a new survey of more than 10,000 Czechs entering the workforce.

The 2019 TOP Employers Study, a yearly project from the Asociace studentů a absolventů (Association of Students and Graduates), names the top five Czech companies across a variety of business fields.

Local companies seemed to have an edge among new prospective employees: “Czech Google” Seznam.cz was named the top IT company to work for over international brands like Microsoft, Avast, and IBM, and Czech car manufacturer Škoda dominated the Automotive and Manufacturing field.

Top Czech beer brand Pilsner Urquell, meanwhile, was the second-rated consumer goods company, falling behind L’Oreal.

“Most of the winners in the industry categories have defended last year’s top ranking, so we can see that there are employers who have built a strong brand not only for customers but also for their future employees,” said TOP Employers Study Director Jakub Hořický.

Voted on by 11,577 students and graduates from Czech universities, these companies have been deemed the most desirable employers in the Czech Republic among those just starting their career paths:
