Jaromír Jágr Gets His Own Lager

The Czech hockey legend can now be enjoyed in beer form, thanks to a Canadian microbrewery

A Jágr lager? You betcha.

Canadian microbrewery Block Three Brewing has come up with an inventive name for the company’s first-ever lager, a Czech-style pilsner.

It’s a “Jaromir Czech Jagr.” Bottles of the beer feature a caricature of the hockey legend’s mug, complete with trademark mullet.

“Being fans of hockey, the name just sort of came to us, so we decided to roll with it,” Block Three co-founder Graham Spence told NHL.com.

“I think the only complaint we have heard about the beer is that we didn’t make it 6.8 percent.” Jágr has worn #68 throughout his career.

This isn’t the first Jágr-branded consumable. Believe it or not, in the 1990s the hockey star briefly had his own brand of peanut butter:
