For ten years, hundreds of students from around the world have come to Puppets in Prague workshops to work with Czech puppet masters.

We currently have 3 types of workshops:

Marionette carving- Students learn the techniques of designing puppets, making technical drawings, woodcarving, painting, and puppet costume design plus manipulation and Czech puppet history.  At the end of the course, each student has an original hand-carved marionette - plus the skills to make more.

Film Puppets for Stop Motion - students learn about all aspects of traditional Czech film animation, with a specific focus on the technology of the Czech film puppet.

Marionette manipulation and creating performances - students work in a team to create performances that are presented at festivals and for the public.
