Travelers flying from Prague this winter will have more options for city breaks, mountain trips and holidays in warmer climates, with Václav Havel Airport offering a record 145 destinations.

The winter timetable runs from Sunday, Oct. 25, through March 27, 2027. It includes 20 destinations not served during the previous winter season, although the overall network has grown by 12 destinations.

The airport expects to handle more than 6.5 million passengers during the period. Some routes are newly launching, while others are continuing from the summer timetable into winter for the first time.

New options for winter escapes

Among the routes opening during the winter season are easyJet’s service to Marrakesh and Smartwings’ connection to Lisbon.

Travelers will also have options that were absent from last winter’s schedule, including Lille with easyJet, Palermo and Turin with Ryanair and Wizz Air, Venice and Bergen with Smartwings, Bolzano with SkyAlps, and Poprad with Wizz Air.

The Italian and Slovak additions broaden the choice of gateways for mountain holidays, while southern European and North African routes offer alternatives for travelers seeking milder weather.

Newcastle with easyJet and Vilnius with Wizz Air will continue from the summer timetable, making them new additions to Prague’s winter network.

Longer-distance options include VietJet services to Almaty and Hanoi. The charter program will feature Phuket in Thailand with Neos, alongside La Romana in the Dominican Republic and Sihanoukville in Cambodia with TUI Airways.

Charter flights may be offered through tour operators as part of holiday packages, so their booking arrangements can differ from those of regular scheduled services.

Travelers can check destinations and operating airlines through Prague Airport’s official website.

More flights on existing routes

The expansion also includes additional departures on selected connections.

Air Serbia will increase its Prague–Belgrade service from nine to 11 flights a week. Pegasus will raise its frequency between Prague and Istanbul from 14 to 17 weekly flights.

Airport board Chairman Radomír Lašák said the growing winter network reflected demand extending beyond the traditional summer holiday period.

“Travel is no longer primarily concentrated in the main summer season,” he said, noting that Czech residents travel abroad during winter while Prague continues to attract international visitors.

The airport lists 69 airlines operating during the winter timetable, including eight additions compared with the previous winter. Those include VietJet, SkyAlps, Fly2Galicia, Jazeera Airways and STARLUX Airlines, as well as charter operators TUI Airways and Enter Air and one cargo carrier.

The airport handled 17.8 million passengers last year, an increase of 1.4 million.
