To mark the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to the Czech Republic, Prague’s sky was lit up last night with an extended fireworks show at around 21:00.

It was “a selection of different pyrotechnic effects from the best of what our industry offers,” said Martin Peter of Makalu Fireworks, who produced the show.

The fireworks were set off from a series of boats between Charles Bridge and Střelecký ostrov and accompanied by music.

The Chinese President did not personally attend the show.
