Prague, March 25 (CTK) – Another patient died from the novel coronavirus in the Thomayer Hospital in Prague today, hospital spokesman Petr Sulek has told journalists.

The man also suffered from several chronic complications, including an advanced heart disease, Sulek said.

This is the third death associated with the COVID-19 disease reported today.

In the morning, the Na Bulovce hospital informed about the death of a patient, 83, from Prague, and the Central Bohemia sanitary centre about another patient from Kladno, central Bohemia, who was on home treatment. Both of them suffered from chronic health problems.

In the Thomayer Hospital, two nurses from the lung clinic tested positive on Wednesday. They were probably infected when taking off their protective clothes, Deputy Health Minister Roman Prymula said.

On Friday, the infection in the hospital was also confirmed in another two nurses, while doctors are waiting for the results of the third.

On Sunday, the hospital said it had tested 25 elderly who were hospitalised there. All their tests were negative, but repeated tests are yet to come, Sulek said.
