Waterproof garments were recommend by the RfP staff as the the forecasted rain was due to arrive on Wednesday evening. I told you those Wellies would come in handy! Looking on the positive side, the cool showers might have soothed the sunburn that some of us may have picked up during the previous day’s fun-filled activities! That said, any rain would do little to dampen the up-beat Rock-Fest spirit that has attracted so many music lovers for the past 18 years.

The Youtube stage offered an early evening of Czech ska thanks to performances by Chancers & Gangnails followed by Prague’s Pipes & Pints, there’s nothing like a bit of ska on a slightly gloomy Wednesday evening! Truly rousing stuff to uplift the already high RfP spirits.

Aside from a slew of great live performances, Rock for People have provided a number of extra activities and workshops for all in attendance. Whether you’re a budding DJ or first-time turntablist, I advise taking full advantage of the DJ workshops (16.00-20.30) running daily over at the Evropa 2 / Vestax stage. Why not leave the festival with a new skill under your belt?!

Wednesday evening highlights for me are Canadian four piece band; Billy Talent I’m expecting plenty of banter during their Staropramen Stage performance. The new covered stage is really effective giving a unique, up close and personal club experience at the festival.

Lively Austrian DJ & producer; Parov Stelar hit the Rock for People stage with what can only be described as a truly energetic and animated show with his live band. You might be more familiar with Parov as a solo artist or label head, but yesterday’s performance with the Parov Stelar Band confirmed reports of the excellent live show which has apparently had large influences on Parov’s production work. All good if you ask me!

Other highlights for me would have to be the Cali-based rockers, Papa  Roach. The band who’ve gathered countless fans across the globe with their palatable brand of rock will come out with guns blazing as always!

Fingers crossed for pleasant weather today. There’s lots to see and do and some sunshine would make it all the more enjoyable. I’m looking forward to performances from UK cool kids: Klaxon’s, Hentai Corporation, Queens of The Stone Age and of course the Godfather of Czech popular music, Karel Gott. Either stay dry or keep the sun cream topped up, It’s going to be a another fantastic day at Rfp!
