Thom Yorke will play at Prague’s Forum Karlín on July 12, 2020. Tickets are on sale via Goout and Ticketmaster.

Yorke, best-known
for fronting Radiohead, will be coming with his Tomorrow’s Modern
Boxes electronic music side project. Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich
and visual artist Tarik Barri will create live computer visuals. The
trio takes its name from Yorke’s second solo album, released as a
download in September 2014.

The Prague show will
be the next-to-last date in the tour, sandwiched in between shows at
Slovakia’s Pohoda Festival and the tour closer in Berlin, so there
is little chance to add another Prague show if it sells out quickly,
and it likely will.

So far, shows played in the US have featured songs from Yorke’s solo albums The Eraser, Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, and Anima, as well as a song or two from Atom’s for Peace, another Yorke project. The song “Suspirium” from the soundtrack to the remake of Suspiria also features sometimes.

The Radiohead song “Like Spinning Plates,” from the 2001 album Amnesiac, has been played on rare occasions, the only entry from that part of his career.

He began playing guitar at age 7, taking inspiration from Queen’s Brian May. He built his own guitar when he was 10. and formed his first band when he was 11.

Radiohead, originally called On a Friday, formed in 1985 when Yorke met the other band members in public school though it took several years for them to release “Creep,” their first single, in 1992.

While Radiohead is still active, the members have also been pursuing other projects. York’s first solo album, The Eraser, came out in 2006 while Radiohead was on a hiatus.

He has been active
in promoting human rights, animal rights, the environment, and
anti-war causes. He has been critical of major music labels and
streaming services, which has led him to explore different methods of
releasing music such as via BitTorrent.
