If you live in and around Prague 4 you might want to plan ahead before setting out this weekend: traffic and bus routes will be rerouted to make way for high-speed car chases and collisions courtesy of Prime Video spy series, Ride or Die, shooting in the Czech capital since January.
According to The Prague Reporter, the show, starring Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham follows an assassin (Waddingham) whose secret life unravels, pulling her best friend (Spencer) into a dangerous web. Filming will continue in Prague until June. The series also stars Bill Nighy, Ed Skrein, and Sylvia Hoeks.

Traffic on Vyskočilova Street in Prague 4 will be disrupted from Saturday evening to Sunday morning. The street will be closed between the intersection with Michelská Street and the entrance to 5. května Street. Vehicles will be detoured through Nusle, while four bus lines will also have altered routes.

Filming for the series, will take place from 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, to 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. The production will feature scenes of high-speed driving, chases, and traffic accidents. Regular routes will resume after 8 a.m. on Sunday.

Filming for the same series also took place in Prague in late February, with a section of Rohanské nábřeží in Prague 8 near Invalidovna closed for almost the entire weekend. Cars were detoured via Sokolovská, and an improvised exit was set up for local residents.
Ride or Die is the latest in a string of big-budget international TV project to take to the streets of Prague following Blade Runner 2099, which wrapped in December, the second season of Interview with the Vampire, and multiple seasons of Foundation and The Wheel of Time.
