This weekend throughout the Czech Republic, a trio of free events will give locals and visitors a unique glimpse into some of the country’s famed landmarks and venues they may not usually get a chance to see.

Tonight, Church Night will see 300 churches throughout the country open their doors to give visitors a glimpse into buildings they may only be familiar with from the outside.

Prague’s tram 22 will even transition into a mobile church as part of the festivities; if you can’t make the journey, you can catch it live via YouTube

More information about venues and opening times can be found at the Church Night official website.

On Saturday & Sunday, 180 gardens across the Czech Republic – many of which are closed to visitors – will be open to the public as part of Open Gardens Weekend.

The project aims to give visitors not only the opportunity to see usually-closed gardens, but also experience their favorite locales in a new light, with guided tours, concerts, and accompanying events at many of the participating venues.

In Prague, those venues include the historic gardens at Prague Castle and Troja Castle, along with fourteen other gardens throughout the city.

A full map of participating gardens can be found at the Open Gardens Weekend website

And on Saturday night, the ever-popular Museum Night, now in its 13th year, will return to Prague, giving visitors a chance to visit museums and galleries across the city free of charge from 19:00 to 01:00.

Special transport lines organized by DPP will take patrons between venues free of charge.

Along with museum admission, the event also includes concerts, film screenings, and other events across the city. More information can be found at Prague Museum Night’s official website.
