Prague, May 19 (CTK) – The Czech Republic recorded 111 new cases of coronavirus infection on Monday, which is the highest daily number since April 21 and the first time in May when the daily number is above 100, according to the latest data released by the Health Ministry on its website.
The number of recoveries rose by 179 to 5,641, however, only two of these people recovered on Monday and the rest of them in the previous days.

No patient died on Monday according to the current information. If this does not change, Monday would be the first day that no COVID-19 patient died since April 15.
A total of 2,648 people are suffering from COVID-19 at present.
The death toll has reached 297.
Out of the 14 regions, the number of the infection cases registered so far is the highest in Prague, 1,981, followed by Moravia-Silesia with 1,029 and Central Bohemia. The number of the infected per 100,000 people is also the highest in Prague, 152, while it is the lowest in South Bohemia, 28.
Prague has the largest number of the coronavirus-related deaths, too, 93. It is followed by the Moravia-Silesia and Karlovy Vary regions with 48 and 34.
Most of the infected have mild symptoms. This morning, there were 166 people hospitalised with COVID-19 in the Czech Republic, roughly 30 percent of whom are in a serious condition.
