Did you know that learning a musical instrument can help boost your mood, memory, and muscles? They don't call it muscle memory for nothing! I've had students come to me who want to learn a single song for a family member, who want to improve their skills, one young student with a physical handicap, and an elderly student who wanted to learn a song for their partner's birthday. Students come to me for a variety of reasons to learn, to improve, to impress, whatever the reason, mine is to watch students learn and grow and find the joy in the music.
A little about me:
My mom dragged me to my first ever guitar lesson at 12 kicking and screaming, but once I got there, I was hooked. Forming bands in high school, joining professional bands as an adult, and in between it all, I learned the tapping fretboard technique on the Chapman Stick and created the first concept duo on Stick. Back to guitars! I studied classical guitar at Colorado University in Boulder with a dash of music theory from Denver Community, and the music never stopped.
I'm an American guitarist who has gotten to play throughout the US from crowds of 10,000 to intimate weddings of 20. and even played a wedding in Scotland at Edinburgh Castle. I've been playing guitar for 40 years and teaching for 20. Ages 11 and up. All levels. Most genres covered including classical, rock, metal, pop, and more recently international traditional songs for current students from their various countries and regions.
Lessons are in English.
Location: Prague 2 – my home OR Your home or office within the Prague metro area, or a third location to be agreed.
