My teaching style is based around health-promoting vocal exercises which serve to build strength of the voice in all areas. This increased strength and flexibility in the voice works for us in whatever styles we choose to sing, and ultimately gives us freedom to express ourselves with ease. I strive for health and wellness in the voice, and I do not push people to sing in ways which create tension, pain, or stress. I am open to working with music of all styles with strong focus on interpretation and expression.
In addition, the voice is something that is deeply personal; it can be saturated with many mixed emotions. I endeavor to find the healthy and unique tone that each person possesses, to provide the environment and instruction which brings you closer to yourself, and help you to become your own expert.
