School Health Aide

BASIS Prague International School is looking for a reliable, caring, and responsible person to join our team as a School Health Aide.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, can respond calmly and confidently to different situations, and is happy to combine basic first-aid support with organizational and administrative tasks.

You do not need to be a qualified nurse or have a formal medical background. Basic first-aid knowledge and a willingness to learn are important. We offer a meaningful and varied role in a friendly international school environment with regular working hours.

Job Responsibilities

• Providing basic first-aid support to students who feel unwell, become ill, or sustain an injury.

• Maintaining records of students' medical needs and relevant health information.

• Checking, replenishing, and maintaining the school's first-aid kits.

• Checking and updating allergen information in the kitchen, classrooms, and other areas of the school.

• When healthcare support is not required, helping with the day-to-day running of the school according to current needs. These tasks must be immediately interruptible whenever a sick or injured student needs attention.

• Providing administrative support, including organizing field trips and school events, communicating with external institutions, arranging transportation, purchasing tickets, and other related tasks.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of first aid (we welcome healthcare experience or a formal medical qualification).

• Willingness to learn and complete an intensive first-aid course.

• Fluency in English (knowledge of Czech is preferred)

• At least a secondary school education.

• A responsible, reliable, and independent approach to work.

• Ability to remain calm and respond promptly in unexpected situations.

• A positive attitude towards children and the ability to work as part of a team.
