Riverside International School, a leading British International School in Prague, is seeking a passionate and experienced EAL Teacher & Learning Support Assistant. The school follows the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and has between 45-50 students enrolled.

EAL responsibilities include the following:
To provide EAL learners with English language skills of life-long value, specifically to improve their communicative ability in speaking, listening, reading and writing.
To demonstrate a clear understanding of how language and literacy are developed in children.
To support varying levels of English language proficiency while teaching EAL classes and working with individuals or small groups of students.
To conduct a comprehensive assessment of English language proficiency for placement and support (of prospective and new students).
Provide teachers with effective strategies and accessible resources to support English language development within the classroom, ensuring alignment with best practices in language acquisition.
LSA responsibilities include:
Collaborate closely with the teaching team to tailor support and resources for our student
Organizing and supervising group activities within the classroom
Assisting with field visits or educational outings
Supervising breaks and lunchtimes
Supporting the after school extended day programme
The hours of work are 7:45am – 4:45pm, Monday - Friday.
Candidates should be proficient in English and should feel comfortable working with children in an international environment.
