This educational and community project is based in Prague.
It has been created with a big passion for the learning and teaching experience, and for the essence of the human experience by Sandra Hardyal , in spring of 2014.
Sandra Hardyal is a certified language teacher. She has taught preschool children in Prague since 2011, and is a certified kids yoga and Kundalini Yoga instructor.
Currently, the activities of the project, lead by Sandra Hardyal, focus on:
-teaching kids yoga at the French lycee of Prague to a mere 50 children, and at Bindu Yoga Studio
- Teaching Kundalini yoga to adults at the Kundalini Yoga Centre in Prague once weekly, as a group home class weekly to raise money for a hoop dance children charity, Hoop Relief;
- Hoop Relief ambassador in Prague and fundraiser through various events and activities;
- Continuous training in breath walking, kundalini yoga and Elemental hoop dance and flow.
Yoga for children, kundalini yoga, breath walking and hoop dancing are all activities that promote wellness and the empowerment of individuals. They are tools that can help our creativity manifest, and have numerous psychological and physical health benefits that can help us approach the pressure of our times with more peace, grace and resilience.
The vision of The Manipura Project, is also to provide a range of volunteer based workshops, sponsored or not, in yoga and hoopdance to :
-hospital patients
-people in substance abuse rehabilitation centre
-detention centres
-women and youth shelters.
If you are interested in sponsoring the Manipura Project in its volunteer activities, or if you are yourself, or know an establishment you know would benefit from such interventions, please get in touch :).
Classes and workshops can be booked by phone or email by:
- schools, yoga centres, individuals, hospitals, community centres (detention, rehabilitation, youth and women shelters), festival organisers, and youth camp directors.
