Hit or miss at Tandoor Indian

I've been to Tandoor often (I live nearby) and understand the range of reviews for this restaurant. We used to get quick and attentive service, but it seems that as the take-out business has increased, the dining room has suffered. The last time we were there, the manager was away, (the mice played) and the service was simply horrible; our mixed up orders took forever, and we could just forget about ever getting the second round of beers... read more

Tandoor Prague

This restaurant is the biggest dissappointment I have ever visited.Dirty,un pleasant service, the menu is mostly not available-depnds how much the cook wants to do-lazy people. I counted over 70 flies, the kitchen is dirty which I could see through the dirty curtain, and two people try to serve tables, prepare food, and do home delivery. The waiter who was smoking cigarrettes most of the time was very rude. There was a home delivery ready... read more

Happy to have them in Prague

I second the good review of this place and want to voice my appreciation for this restaurant and their good food. If you are an Indian food expert maybe you won't like it, but for someone who eats Indian food occasionally, this restaurant is a much better deal than the other higher priced ones in the center. I don't care if they don't have a "proper" naan or if they don't really do tandoor cooking, what I've had from here (some palak, bhuna,... read more

No naans

Second time I've been to this place; finally they've taken the naan's off the menu. Think everyone should ask for one all the same, till they get the message...why don't they all do a cheese naan! We had a butter chicken, lamb bhuna and lamb palak. They were all reasonable and the mango lassi was better than resonable. Not the best I've had, but as good as the rest in Prague and cheaper than most. Not sure about the fellow suggesting... read more

The best Indian we've got

Reviewed by Christopher1 15.05.2007
The dining room is small and ugly but the food is the best Indian we've found in the city. 2 of us had starters, mains and beers and got out for under 500kc including tip. The meat samosas and lamb jal frezi were both outstanding, fresh and properly cooked. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.
