DISCOVER ASIA IN THE HEART OF PRAGUE AT SPICES

Located in the heart of the picturesque Lesser Town, Spices Restaurant & Bar offers an inventive selection of delicious Asian dishes and mouth-watering cocktails. With a setting as inspiring as the menu, Spices’ stunning Renaissance-style vaulted ceiling and contemporary design provides the perfect backdrop for Executive Chef Zdeněk Křížek’s exceptional cuisine.

By adding beautiful modern touches to the historic bones of this former monastery, Spices’ design represents a harmonious balance of cultures, reflecting both the city’s past and present, and Mandarin Oriental’s Asian roots. Combined with the restaurant’s exciting culinary direction, Spices is the rising star of Prague’s restaurant scene, annually listed in the Michelin Guide book and attracting both guests and locals alike.

As a stand-alone destination, Spices’ bar serves a mix of classic and contemporary cocktails, alongside a wide choice of wines, beers and non-alcoholic drinks.

Spices Restaurant and Bar offers an exquisite private dining room hidden below the restaurant in a spectacular wine cellar. As an atmospheric setting for private functions, this beautiful dining room can accommodate up to 20 guests.

With authentic details such as bare brick walls and an original medieval well, it's the ideal place for wine tastings, private dinner or romantic proposals. In addition, a variety of packages and specially designed menus from executive chef Zdeněk Křížek are prepared on request.

Featuring a covered outdoor terrace, diners have the option of either indoor or al fresco seating, with the heated terrace offering a secluded spot in which to enjoy a quiet drink or bite to eat.

A Wonderful Experience

My friend is vegan so was discussing the menu options with the waitress but it almost seemed like the chef -perfect as about everything about this restaurant- just took it as an exciting challenge and surprised... read more

A Western retreat

Great location, Western service (a relief in Prague), serene Asian decor and very good food. Worth a visit when you're tired of pork and dumplings. The bar is sophisticated and also a great respite from the city.

Fine Food Finaly!

Mandarin Oriental Prague; inside this beautiful hotel (a 14th century Monastery fully restored) the restaurant Essensia is modern and offers the best food (half of the menu is Asian, half European) I ever had in Prague. This place is a must for anybody loving perfect service and perfect food. In weekends the, also modern, bar offers live music; not the usual old man playing the piano but an American (or British?) guitar player. Peter.
