ABC Academy English Language Preschool is a private school located in Prague-3 and Roztoky u Prahy. We provide education and care for children ages 3-6 in our daily preschool program and we also offer an afternoon program for elementary children ages 7-9.
Our goal is to ensure a full education for each child. We encourage whole development; in academic skills, individual thought, decision making, problem solving and a desire to learn, all provided in a loving and supportive environment.
We believe children have an amazing ability to learn and grow and we encourage each child to find their own path in the world with the loving guidance of our experienced teachers.
Located at Prague 3 and Roztoky, our school is conducted entirely in English by all native English speaking Teachers. This allows for the child to be completely comfortable communicating in a foreign language. All our children graduate with a very high fluency in English.
At ABC Academy we provide a high teacher to child ratio. Our standard is one teacher for every six children. This ensures each child gets the attention and care needed for their personal development.
Our teaching methodologies include hands on and discovery learning, presentation method, play instruction, community language learning and the direct method. We include all different learning strategies: interactive, learner-centered, cooperative, content and task based. Music and singing are an integral part of our daily instruction, along with imaginative play and creative expression.
We provide a wide array of extracurricular activities throughout each week:Yoga, Recorder lessons, Science, Ceramics, Swimming, Dancing class and Spanish lessons taught by our native Spanish speaking teacher
“Good schools are schools for the development of the whole child. They seek to help children develop to their maximum their social powers and their intellectual powers, their emotional capacities, their physical powers.” James L. Hymes, Jr. (20th century), U.S. child development specialist, author. Teaching the Child Under Six, ch. 1 (1968).
