What is ‘ Summer Fun with PBS’?

Summer Fun is a summer activity programme aimed at children who want to spend part of their holiday participating in a broad and varied program of sports and leisure activities, ranging from Arts and Crafts, ICT and Music to Sports and several fun trips. Activities are designed to be fun and entertaining but at the same time to improve skills and promote interaction among participants.

Who can take part in Summer Fun?

The programme is aimed at children currently in Reception to Year 6. (who will be aged 5 – 11 in July). You do not have to be a current PBS student to attend.

When does Summer Fun take place?

For two weeks on 5th – 16th July 2010. You can choose to join in for either one week or for both.

Where will it run?

The programme will take place at our Vlastina site (with daily transport provided from the Kamyk site). Additionally, several trips to a variety of places around Prague will be included in the programme as well, with the school buses providing all the necessary transport.

What type of activities will be included in the programme?

The programme will include:

  • Arts and Crafts activities (Building of bridges, creating Chinese lantern balloons or costume making for a planned cultural show),
  • Sports (baseball, obstacle course, etc.),
  • Music (Making your own music video)
  • CT activities (Photography, using software to manipulate Lego robots)
  • a variety of trips (Prachovske skaly, Steam Train ride, etc. subject to weather conditions).


What are the payment terms and conditions?

This programme will cost 6000CZK per week if you book before Thursday 13th May. If you reserve your place after 13th May the price is 6500CZK per week.

Places are confirmed once the application form and full payment is received. Places are given on a first come first served basis. It is not possible to register for individual days only. In the event that PBS is unable to provide the programme as published a full refund will be paid. In the event that you wish to cancel your place on the programme refunds will be awarded as follows:

Before May 25th – 80% refund will be paid
Before June 18th – 50% refund will be paid
After June 18th – No refund will be paid

What does this cost include?

This fee includes the cost of all activities – both those taking place at Vlastina as well as the external trips; meals and drinks (including a morning snack, a 3 course lunch, an afternoon snack and fruit and drinks thoroughout the day). Transport from Kamyk school will be offered at no extra charge.

How do I sign my child up for Summer Fun?

Please click here to download a registration form. Please complete this and return it with payment and a copy of your child´s medical insurance card to your school administrator. You will then receive an email from the Summer Fun coordinator Ms Gillie to confirm that your children are registered.
