Native English Teacher - Business/General English

Hello, My name is Michael and I’m a native speaker Canadian born Dutch national with over 20 years of English teaching experience. I taught mainly adults at B2 and C1 level (Business English and in company training respectively) in Amsterdam and have been teaching freelance to mainly Russian and UA students. I lived in Prague previously for 7 years, then 3 years in Wrocław and 6 months in Perugia. I returned to Prague in January of this year.

CELTA qualified (in Prague), with an Honours B.A. with specialisation in German and French and a B.Ed. for the same teachables (secondary school level). I, therefore, possess a strong grasp of 2nd language acquisition.

I speak German, French, Dutch, Italian, Polish and basic Czech.

In the past, I usually focussed on grammar and vocabulary but the growing trend now is speaking.

I also used to be a proofreader for academic papers/co-reader for theses, etc.
