Hello everyone,
My name is Amrik, and I'm a private teacher from Nottingham, England. I offer private or group classes, on business or general English. Classes can happen online, or face-to-face in an office or café. I am based in Prague 2, but I can travel to any part of the city.
I can help with; error correction, fluency, pronunciation and accuracy. I am well-experienced preparing student for Cambridge exams (KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE and IELTS). I also have experience preparing people for Czech University entrance exams, such as 'the Prague University of Economics' (VSE), and 'the Czech University of Life Sciences' (CZU), with materials to help.
I believe people learn by practicing, rather than studying grammar rules, but I can explain the rules well when necessary. I always try to find something the student enjoys (gaming, music, literature, business, etc), and focus the lesson round it, using articles and mini YouTube documentaries.
I also work in Prague as a guitar teacher, I have been playing for 20 years, doing styles of pop, folk, jazz, blues, slide, and banjo. I can help if you are an absolute beginner or experienced. I have played in bands before, and I currently play in 2 live bands and have done several solo shows. I can even do lessons online using special software (something similar to Zoom) which is free to download.
Finally, I can help with any writing work you have. I have helped students write; newsletters, presentations, documentation, application forms, and I am familiar with SEO and copywriting .

Hobbies: Sports: I am into running, as there are running tracks around Prague, such as in Troja, Vitkov, and down the Vltava. I am also interested in bouldering (indoor rock climbing).
Music: I enjoy playing the guitar, piano, synthesizer, banjo, and do music programming. I
Reading: I read when I get the time: Philip K Dick, Truman Capote, Hemingway. I also try to do some creative writing from time to time.
Cinema: I like a lot of the independent cinemas here, such as Kino Pilotu and Svetozor.
