Year 1 & 2 EAL Teacher

Compass Primary School, located in Prague 4 – Kunratice, is expanding and seeking a new colleague to join our growing team from the 24^th of August 2026.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has classroom teaching experience with primary-aged students

• Has excellent English proficiency (native or near-native level)

• Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. a degree in Education, CELTA, DELTA, TEFL, or similar)

• Has experience delivering systematic phonics instruction

• Can create a safe, playful, and language-rich learning environment

• Is interested in cross-curricular teaching (e.g. Art, Music, Maths, Science)

• Is willing to contribute to extracurricular activities

• Is committed to long-term cooperation (minimum of 2 years)

The role

• A full-time teaching position within our English Department

• 16 teaching hours per week for the upcoming year, with flexible planning time

• Teaching Year 1 and Year 2

• Small class sizes (16 students)

• Teaching mainly English, plus Art, Music, Maths/Science

• Weekly co-teaching with a second English teacher

• Participating in school/field trips, projects and school events
