Strategic Business Consultant

YDISTRI
CZK 80,000 - 110,000  •   Full-time  •   Prague
Seniority: Mid level

We are YDISTRI: We help major retailers do more with what they already have.

By working at store level, we give retail teams the visibility to find inventory that isn't moving, get it where it needs to be, and turn it into real revenue before it ever becomes a problem. We’re growing fast, and that’s just the start.

As a growing enterprise, we’re currently looking for a Strategic Business Consultant who loves working with data just as much as they love working with people. This is a hybrid role where you’ll split your time between working closely with your clients, digging into their data, and collaborating with our internal team on product and strategy.

No two clients are the same. You might be helping a Drugstore chain in Germany rethink how it balances stock across its locations one week, and working through a redistribution model for a fashion retailer in Thailand the next. If that variety excites you rather than stresses you out, keep reading.

What You’ll Do:

Own your client relationships end-to-end. That means:

  • Start by really getting to know your clients: Their operations, their data, their challenges, and their goals. You’ll spend meaningful time in discovery before jumping to solutions.

  • Design and deliver data-driven recommendations that solve real inventory problems: You’ll analyze and interpret large datasets, translate what the numbers are saying, and present it in a way that sticks.

  • Stay in close contact with clients throughout: Proactively sharing progress, flagging issues early, and pivoting the approach when the data tells you to.

  • Collect structured product feedback as you go: what's working, what's missing, what clients wish the platform could do. You won't just flag it and move on; you'll stay close to how it develops, contributing to the solution and seeing your input reflected in what we build next.

  • Alongside you, our Sales, Product, and Technical teams will make sure you're fully equipped to own the client relationship.

What you’ll need:

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in a role that required you to think analytically, communicate clearly, and deliver tangible outcomes for clients or stakeholders. We’re less interested in your job title than in what you can accomplish.

  • Comfortable working with large, structured datasets to find insights and tell a story. SQL experience is a real advantage, but even if you only have some knowledge of it, and are genuinely keen to learn it fast, that works too.

  • Retail, supply chain, or inventory management experience is a nice-to-have. Curiosity about how those industries work is a must-have.

  • Flexibility and availability to travel to our clients’ locations.

Skills:

  • Data fluency: you can dig into a messy dataset, figure out what it’s telling you, and explain it clearly to someone who doesn’t live in spreadsheets.

  • English fluency is a must-have.

  • Organized and self-directed: you juggle multiple clients, set your own schedule, and don’t need someone chasing you for updates.

  • Analytically confident enough to push back and recommend a different direction when the data supports it.

  • Flexible and at ease in a fast-moving environment. YDISTRI is a scale-up, which means things change, processes evolve, and we expect you to help shape them.

  • A genuinely collaborative mindset. We’re a small, international team and different perspectives make us better. We actively value that.

What We Offer:

  • Hybrid setup.

  • 25 days paid holiday.

  • A role where your work is genuinely visible. You’re not a cog in a big machine; what you deliver directly shapes client outcomes and our product roadmap.

  • You will be working directly with the decision makers of the biggest names in retail.

  • A Multisport card to keep you moving.

  • Stocked kitchen: fresh fruit, unlimited coffee and tea, and a fridge that doesn’t disappoint.

  • A small, international team: Big enough to be stable, small enough that you matter and your ideas get heard.

Recruitment Process:

We keep it straightforward!

  • Intro call. So we can get to know each other.

  • Skills & case interview. A conversation about how you think, how you work with data, and how you handle tricky client situations.

  • Practical exercise.

  • Final interview with senior leadership. Here we make sure that this is a good fit for all parties involved.

We aim to wrap the whole process in 3–4 weeks and we’ll keep you posted at every step. We review applications with a focus on what YOU can do, not just where you’ve been.
