PRE-SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER (LONG-TERM REPLACEMENT)

Lycée français de Prague recrute :

• PRE-SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER (LONG-TERM REPLACEMENT) (27h hebdomadaires)

The position will be based in a pre-school class (for 4- and 5-year-olds), under supervision of the Head of Primary School. Previous experience in an AEFE school or in international education would be an advantage.

Main activities :

• Teaching in English to pre-school pupils in a bilingual class (French-English).

• Teaching in accordance with the current curricula of the French Ministry of National Education.

• Monitoring pupils’ academic and educational progress, and reporting to their parents.

• Participation in the implementation of the school’s strategic plan and educational programme, in collaboration with the teaching staff and management.

• Participation in various teaching meetings (year-group meetings, staff meetings and other mandatory institutional meetings).

• Support for pupils with special educational needs.

Required qualities:
With an openness to global cultures, the candidate must demonstrate a high degree of adaptability and has to be prepared to work in a demanding multicultural environment. They must possess strong interpersonal skills and be capable of leading educational projects both within the classroom and as part of a team. The ability to work as part of a team with the French-speaking teacher and nursery assistants will be essential.

Required profile:

Excellent command of English (native or bilingual level required).

Degree in teaching, education or a related field (preferred).

Experience working with young children, ideally in a bilingual setting.

Experience in pre-school highly valued.

Patience, a willingness to listen, and the ability to create a reassuring atmosphere.

Recruitment :
The position will be filled in accordance with the conditions set out in the internal regulations of the Lycée Français de Prague (contract governed by Czech law).

Gross monthly salary: from CZK 53 323 (grade 1) to CZK 101 826 (grade 11), depending on proven experience in similar roles.
