Our client is building a brand-new Battery Management System platform and is looking for a Principal Systems Engineer who will define the system architecture, drive technical decisions, and ensure seamless integration across software, electronics, electric propulsion, and battery technologies.
This is a rare opportunity to join a greenfield engineering programme and become one of the key technical authorities behind an advanced electrification product. Working closely with an international team, you'll influence not only how the system is designed today, but how the entire platform evolves in the years ahead.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Define and maintain the overall system architecture
- Capture, analyse, and manage product requirements
- Develop logical and physical system architectures
- Create system diagrams, interfaces, and behavioural models
- Coordinate technical communication across:
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Embedded Software
- Application Software
- Electronics
- Electric Motor Systems
- Ensure successful integration of all technologies into one complete solution
- Support system verification, validation, testing, and reliability activities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine system requirements
- Apply Systems Engineering best practices using both MBSE and traditional approaches
- Support architecture governance and systems engineering processes
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Must Have
- 3-5+ years of Systems Engineering experience
- Strong background in System Architecture
- Requirements Engineering expertise
- Experience creating System Diagrams and technical models
- Experience integrating multiple engineering disciplines
- Excellent English communication skills
- Understanding of the full systems engineering lifecycle
Nice to Have
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- SysML / UML
- System Modelling tools
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Battery technologies and energy storage systems
- Automotive, Aerospace, Electrification, Renewable Energy, or High-Integrity Systems experience
- Knowledge of ISO 26262, IEC 61508, DO-178C, or similar standards
