Prague + partly travel in Poland Ā· fluent Polish and English Ā· equity in the company

Why we're doing this

E-commerce keeps growing, but parcels are still delivered by single-purpose fleets. Every carrier builds its own, every one of them drives half-empty, and together they clog up cities. Grid.online is building the alternative: invisible delivery infrastructure that parcel operators draw capacity from as their actual demand requires. In Czechia, this mission works. Now we're launching it in Poland — and you'll be there from day one.

What you'll be doing

You'll be the right hand of the person who owns the Polish market — in the first phase that's our founder and CEO, Ondra KrĆ”tký. In practice it means you do whatever needs doing:

  • Work with the founding team — operations, product, engineering, the founders. They support you and you support them.

  • Handle calls and messages from couriers and clients. In Polish. You're the one who solves the problem, not the one who forwards it on.

  • Run delivery routes yourself — so you know first-hand where the app breaks before twenty people tell you.

  • Visit depots, get to know people on the ground, and bring back the context nobody sees from Prague.

  • Onboard the first couriers and the first clients, and take away from each one what didn't work.

  • Anything that comes up a third time, you write into a process or hand to product so it disappears.

You'll be based in our Prague office, but looking forward to frequent drops into Poland.

Who we're looking for

A generalist, not a specialist. It's not about one thing you're good at — it's about being able to learn whatever is needed and then do it. That's the whole qualification.

What's genuinely required:

  • Fluent Polish and English. You negotiate in both and write in both.

  • You talk to people easily. You're just as comfortable with a courier at a depot at six in the morning as with a client's manager or CEO.

  • Persistence and get shit done. Ninety percent of this job is repeating things that don't work yet until they start working. When something breaks on a Sunday evening, you fix it on Sunday evening — not because you have to, but because it bugs you that it's broken.

  • You leave things better than you found them. You don't pass a problem on to someone else.

What's not required: years of experience, what you studied, a degree, a background in logistics. In this role, character counts at the start, not a CV. If the description fits you and you're missing half the "nice to haves" below, get in touch anyway.

Nice to have: Czech-speaking. A driving licence (cat. B), experience in operations, sales or customer support, and a project or business of your own behind you.

What might hurt — or might be the fun part:

  • A lot of time in Poland. This is not a work-from-a-cafĆ© job.

  • Early mornings and irregular hours. Delivery starts before offices do. We compensate that with flexibility.

  • No playbook. You'll be doing a lot of things as the first person in the company to do them.

  • Work that isn't glamorous. Complaints, lost parcels, angry people.

What we offer

Being there as a market launches from zero, and seeing the impact of your work the next day rather than next quarter. Direct access to the founders, the engineers, the whole founding team. Compensation including equity. And above all: if Poland works, you grow with it — this role is a start, not a ceiling. You can change the world.

Process

A call (30 min) → a day in the field with us: you run a route and see what you'd be getting into → a short paid trial on a real task.

Tell us which moments get you excited, and the last thing you managed to see through to the end even though it was unpleasant.
