High School Teachers (English Mathematics Science)

Anglofonní Gymnázium will open its doors in September 2026 as the next stage in the successful development of Anglofonní základní škola in Prague.

We are seeking passionate and ambitious educators who are excited by the rare opportunity to help shape a new bilingual high school from the very beginning. Successful candidates will play an important role in developing curriculum, establishing academic standards, and creating a learning environment that prepares students for success both in the Czech Republic and internationally.

We are currently recruiting teachers in the following areas:

English Language & Literature

We are seeking a teacher with native-level English proficiency who can inspire students through engaging and academically rigorous English instruction.

Mathematics

We are looking for a qualified Mathematics teacher who can deliver high-quality instruction in English and support students in developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Sciences

We welcome applications from teachers qualified in one or more of the following subjects:

• Biology

• Chemistry

• Physics

Candidates who are able to teach multiple STEM subjects will be viewed favourably.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach high school students in a bilingual English-Czech environment

• Deliver engaging, student-centred lessons that promote curiosity, independence, and academic excellence

• Contribute to the development of the new Gymnázium curriculum

• Support inquiry-based and project-based learning

• Collaborate with colleagues to establish high academic standards and a positive school culture

• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment

• Participate in school events, curriculum planning, and professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Relevant degree in the subject area

• Recognised teaching qualification preferred (PGCE, QTS, State Teaching Licence, M.Ed., or equivalent)

• Native-level English proficiency or excellent command of English (C2 level)

• Experience teaching secondary or high school students preferred

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Interest in bilingual and international education

• Ability to work collaboratively within a growing and innovative school community
