English Teachers | Junior High, High School & AP

For an August 2026 start Sunny Canadian International School are seeking highly qualified and dedicated Junior High and High School English Teachers to join our fantastic team.

The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching English at Junior High School and High school levels, plus our Advanced Placement English Literature class.

We have two positions that are currently open:

• High School English Teacher with AP Literature focus

• Junior High School English Teacher with AP Literature

About SCIS

SCIS is a growing bilingual international school that is set in wonderful surroundings on the outskirts of Jesenice just outside of Prague, Czech Republic.

The school is STEAM focused and a new world-class STEAM facility will be opened to both grow the capacity of the school and provide new learning spaces for our students in September 2026.

For the last 5 years SCIS has operated an in school program that follows the American College Board Advanced Placement curriculum across a range of diverse subjects for our high school students. With a growing school and continuously improving results we now seek a teacher of the highest calibre to drive the results to an even higher standard.

Responsibilities

Planning, preparation and delivery of high-quality English language and literature lessons to our Junior High and High school students. Delivering high quality English Literature and analysis teaching in our AP program. Attending staff meetings and curriculum development sessions. Communicating professionally with students, staff and parents.

Qualifications/ Skills

A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in English.

A teaching qualification and previous experience working in an International environment.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Experience of the AP curriculum would be an advantage, or a willingness to undergo AP training.
