Osteria Da Clara is a small, cosy italian neighbourhood restaurant located in Mexická,between Ruská and Kodanská in Prague 10.

We offer a very reasonable daily lunch menu as well as a small but variable dinner menu.Owner and chef Glenn Svarc has been inspired by the tuscan region of Italy after spending a few years in Florence and surrounding areas. So many dishes offered at Da Clara are similar to fare found in florentine trattorias, with emphasis on healthy, honest produce and good olive oil.Pasta is certainly the house speciality, but interesting meat and fish dishes can also be found on the menu.We change the menu reguarly depending on seasonable produce and the chef's humour.

Our wine list offers a variety of wines from all over Italy, ranging from a good simple house wine to more sophistcated tuscan reds,to suit all tastes and wallets. We offer naturally czech pilsner and good italian coffee.

At Da Clara you'll find a relaxed ambience with friendly service and lounge, jazz music.Families are very welcome and people on all budgets, wether its just a plate of pasta or a three course dinner one wants to sample.

Definitely for people who enjoy food, celebrate their meal and become happy because of fresh seafood or excellent olive oil taste. I love the fact that the regular menu is small and the board on the wall is filled in daily be chef himself-all his brand new ideas,... read more

Fast becoming my favourite restaurant in Prague

J and I had been there before and found the food to be excellent and great value for money. The problem was that we always left it too late to book a table so when I called it was always fully booked. We were impressed by the fact that the lady who answered the phone took my number and called me back to tell us that there was a table available. Only problem was that we don't live nearby so we could only ever get there by around 9ish, and the... read more

How can it be so cheap?

Went last night. Being greedy I had two main courses (and could hardly stand afterwards) - pasta with Italian sausage, walnuts, and grapes, followed by breast of Guinea fowl with veggies, and my wife had a hearty soup followed by pasta with squid, and we had a 1 liter jug of wine. The food was superb - perfectly cooked and yummy too. The place was casual and friendly which is just how I like it. No pretentious service here. And no loud... read more
