The Institut français de Prague (IFP) was founded in 1920 and has been located on Štěpánská 35 since 1930. In its early years, it used to be a university providing literature, law and sciences tuition in French. Since the „Velvet revolution“, it has become a French hub in Prague.

The IFP is much more than just a language school as, besides organizing many cultural events in Prague throughout the year, it offers a library, cinema, book shop, exhibition gallery, Café and information office for those who wish to study in France.

Therefore, learning French at the IFP is a unique experience to study a language in a real French atmosphere in the heart of Prague.
