We are a small independent bookshop in the heart of Prague, created for those who want to experience the city through its literature, art, and cultural heritage.

We specialize in a carefully curated selection of books, with around half of our offer in English. This makes it easy for expats and visitors to discover both world literature and Czech authors. Explore works by Franz Kafka, Milan Kundera, and Jaroslav Hašek, alongside international fiction, non-fiction, art books, and titles for children and young readers. We also focus on independent publishers, bringing you unique books you won’t easily find elsewhere.

Beyond books, we offer beautifully crafted special editions of classic titles that serve not only as reading material, but also as meaningful and elegant souvenirs from Prague. Our space also features original artworks, prints, photographs, and locally made gifts by Czech artists, allowing you to take home a piece of the city’s creative spirit.

The bookshop is also truly unique thanks to its interior, designed by a Czech architect to reflect the atmosphere and spirit of Franz Kafka’s work.

The bookshop is more than just a retail space — it’s a cultural meeting point. We regularly host author readings, discussions, literary evenings, and workshops that bring together a diverse, international community of readers and creatives.

Whether you are looking for your next great read, a thoughtful gift, or a place to connect with Prague’s cultural scene, our bookshop offers a welcoming and inspiring environment in the historic Old Town.
