HBO’s epic TV series Game of Thrones is set to debut its highly-anticipated final season next April, to the delight of fans who have waited two years for the saga to reach its conclusion.

But if you happen to be in Prague, winter is already here.

Earlier this fall, Johnnie Walker introduced a new line of blended scotch whisky named after the zombie antagonists in the late seasons of Game of Thrones: a special limited-edition called White Walker.

Available since October, White Walker has been a hit this holiday season as a gift for fans of Johnnie Walker and Game of Thrones, and retails locally for the princely sum of 999 crowns.

If you happen to be in Prague’s Karlín district, however, you can get a taste of White Walker at the pop-up White Walker Bar on Sokolovská, right across the street from Karlínské náměstí.

Implemented by the Czech branch of Johnnie Walker, the White Walker bar promises top bartenders, themed drinks, and more, and features an interior modelled after the North-of-the-Wall sets from Game of Thrones. That includes an icy blue car and a Johnnie Walker figure decked out as the Night King.

Five special themed cocktails have been modelled after other locations in the HBO series.

If you want to make it out to the Game of Thrones bar yourself, however, you have an extremely limited opportunity: a pop-up location in every sense of the word, Prague’s White Walker Bar is only open until December 23, and only from Wednesday through Sunday, 14:00-22:00.

Johnnie Walker’s White Walker whisky is a limited-edition scotch with hints of caramel and vanilla created in Cardhu and Clynelish, two of Scotland’s northernmost distilleries.

“Whiskies from Clynelish have endured long, Scottish Winters, not dissimilar to the long periods endured by the Night’s Watch who have ventured north of the wall,” Blender George Harper stated in a press release.

“So it was the perfect place to start when creating this unique whisky.”
