The summer concert and festival season ends with a bang, with any one of these dynamic gigs offering the perfect last blast for everyone from bluegrass fans to electronica enthusiasts.

August 6: Harry Waters Quartet (UK)
Malostranská beseda, Prague
Piano and Hammond organ player Harry Waters will play in Prague just one day before his legendary father, Roger. More info: link.

August 7-10: Brutal Assault XVIII
Vojenská pevnost Josefov, Jaroměř
Four full days of high-voltage metal rock music provided by well known bands such as Anthrax, Carcass and Fear Factory. More info: link.

August 7: Robert Křesťan and Druhá tráva and Charlie McCoy 
Divadlo Na zábradlí, Prague 
If you like country music from the Appalachian mountains, you’ll definitely dig this bluegrass-country concert with a light touch of banjo.  

August 7: Roger Waters
o2 Arena, Prague 
Possibly a once-in-lifetime experience! We don’t need no education, We don’t need no thought control…but we definitely need to go to this concert!

August 8: Open Air Festival 2013   
Letiště, Panenský Týnec 
Forget about the heat outside and wallow in three days of this multi-genre festival. Among the performers will be Skunk Anansies, Zrni, Underworld, and many others. More info: link.

August 12: Groundation (US)
Lucerna Music Bar, Prague 
Make the beginning of your week easier by spicing up Monday evening with this reggae-jazzy concert performed by the longstanding band Groundation.

August 13:  Regina Spektor (US)
Jízdárna Pražského hradu, Prague 
Sensitive yet realistic American singer-songwriter and pianist of Russian descent, Regina Spektor, will definitely make an ordinary summer evening extraordinary at Prague Castle.

August 14:  Aerodrome 2013
Výstaviště, Prague 
Check out leading international hitmakers such as System of a Down, Flogging Molly, and Killswitch Engage. More info: link.

August 15: Open Air Festival Trutnov 
Trutnov 
A festival of free spirits with a longstanding tradition in the Czech Republic.

August 15: Front Line Assembly (CAN) + Haujobb (DE)  
Lucerna Music Bar, Prague
Electrify your night with two landmark bands from the electronic music circuit.

August 20: Glen Hansard (IRL)   
Jízdárna Pražského hradu, Praha 
An accomplished songwriter, singer of moving folk-rock music, and Oscar-winner for the soundtrack to the movie Once.

August 23: Eurotrialog Musicfest Mikulov
Amfiteátr, Mikulov 
Another long-running standout music festival with legendary Czech bandslike Zrni, Muzha, Ploetime, Lili Marlene. More info: link.

August 24: Dan Bárta & Illustratosphere 
Vyšehrad, Prague
One of the most famous voices in the Czech Republic recently appeared as a guest performing at this summer’s Bobby McFerrin concert.

August 28: Čechomor 
Bez Zábradlí Theatre, Prague
Do not miss the group that’s known as the favourite band of Czech playwright and former president Václav Havel.

August 30: Rock for Church(ill) 2013 
Myslivna, Vroutek
Bring the summer to a close with this great festival featuring artists like The Qemists, The Herbaliser, Che Sudaka, The Motivs, and many others!
