The Digital Marketing Associate at Project Syndicate is tasked with helping to manage and expand our digital presence. The successful candidate will work across channels (social media, newsletters, and on-site) creating assets, writing copy, and executing campaigns, to both promote PS content and grow our subscriber base. The Digital Marketing Associate will own parts of our overall marketing strategy (social media, etc.), while also working in tandem with other members of the marketing team to support other initiatives as needed.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a year of previous experience in digital marketing and/or content creation, with a keen interest to learn more. Flexibility, the ability to work autonomously, and the drive and willingness to adapt to shifting responsibilities and priorities is paramount.
Core Responsibilities:
Manage paid and organic social media publishing of PS commentaries
Create social media, newsletters, and web marketing content (copy and assets)
Publish social media, newsletters, and web marketing content through a variety of third party tools and our in-house CMS
Maintain and improve our social media data tracking infrastructure
Develop an ongoing, innovative social media strategy
Collaborate with colleagues from the marketing team to assist in promotional or product enhancement activities when needed
Key Skills/Experience (required):
1+ years of experience in a digital marketing-focused role (social media, newsletter, generalist, etc.)
Knowledge of and experience working with social media curation tools (SocialBakers or similar)
Demonstrated track record of taking ownership of responsibilities
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with a high level of detail
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Native-level English
Passion for the news and current events
Key Skills/Experience (preferred):
Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop)
Experience with email marketing management tools (MailChimp or similar)
