The International Montessori School of Prague, a small, community-oriented private Montessori school in Prague 4, is seeking a reliable, responsive, and organized individual for the position of a Marketing Specialist.

Job duties and tasks involve:

  • Conduct market research and keep up-to-date with school competitors, family requirements such as parents’ concerns and students’ needs, and trends in the education industry.

  • Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns, production for marketing, and communications collaterals.

  • Collaborate with the Head of School and Executive Director  to coordinate the IMSP brand and marketing efforts for internal and external communications

  • Develop and oversee the Marketing budget planning and cost expenditure

  • Overseeing the IMSP brand and identity system

  • Oversee the Digital Marketing Specialist for admission and marketing promotions and collaborate with Marketing Events Support for communications regarding school events.  

  • Manage digital marketing and promotional campaigns together with the Digital Marketing Specialist, B2B and B2C outreach, internal events for the IMSP community, and external events (Open Houses) for new families

  • Manage Photo Day for families and students including overseeing photography sales and creation of the Yearbook annually 

  • Plan and develop a social media strategy and create high-quality content for all IMSP’s social media platforms including online and offline marketing content.

  • Maintain a content calendar to support strategic topics and events; discover and develop storylines, monitor and track social media traffic and engagement rate

  • Create a per-term (3x per year) Marketing and Admissions Report, in collaboration with the Head of School.  

  • Create regular communications for internal/enrolled parents including Mailchimp campaigns, event invitations, weekly news summaries, and the school newsletters per term

  • Create posters and internal communication materials using Canva according to the IMSP brand toolkit/guidelines. 

Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing with understanding and experience in the changing marketing and social media landscape is an advantage.

  • Experience in social media content planning, publishing, community engagement, social media traffic monitoring, and reporting is required.

  • Excellent writing, communications, and presentation skills, with the ability to create content for a variety of channels required.

  • Strong possession of English language at C1 level or above. Possession of the Czech language is an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and can utilize Google Drive, Calendar, and DropBox effectively.

  • Proficiency with marketing tools including Facebook Business Manager, MetriCool  MailChimp, Canva, and any CRM tools is preferred. 

  • Legally able to live and work in the Czech Republic on the basis of a Zivnostensky list.

  • Previous experience with Montessori is welcome but not a must. However, we do require an open and respectful attitude to children and our educational model, as well as a willingness to learn Montessori practices and professionally develop on the job.
