I am chinese native speaker. I am originally from Chongqing, China, where I currently live with my husband who is Czech citizen. We have been offering online lessons to various students since 2018. I have been teaching chinese language mostly online when my students are children, teenagers and also adults. I have certification to prepare my students for HSK 1-6 level tests. Apart from any chinese, I can also teach medical chinese which I studied at the university.
When I teach children, I focus a lot on playing. The online class must not be boring sitting at the desk but also active moving. So I make the children move, enjoy the games and make every lesson as interesting as possible.
With adults or teenagers it is a bit different. We usually follow the book for the whole class. If the student is a bit advanced, we always start the lesson with a short conversation about something from news. As for the teaching material, we usually use HSK books where teenagers and adults learn the most useful things in the languages and moreover, they get ready for the test.
For my teaching, it is not only about the class itself. The worst is when somebody teaches one lesson a week and then the student has lack of interaction with the language. When I have a student, we always create a class conversation/group conversation (if the student is a child/teenager). We stay in touch for the whole time on one of the social media in between the classes. The student keep recieving ongoing homework, we lead a spoken conversation when I send voice messages and student is supposed to react. Conversation mostly regarding the study topic. This service of communication on social network outside the classtime is not extra paid.
