I’m a full-time freelancer living in Prague, where I teach written English online to Czech clients and copyedit books for major global publishers, such as Penguin Random House. I have a master’s degree in creative writing (University of Montana, 2009) and a bachelor’s degree in English (University of Texas, 2006). I’ve published three books of my own—most recently with the New York publisher Black Lawrence Press—and for my first novel, I recently signed with Transatlantic Literary Agency.
I studied Czech literature in translation at university, where a decade ago I received a writing award to travel to Prague, and I fell in love with the city. Having lived in Malá Strana for over three years, I specialize in correcting documents written in English (books, articles, essays, cover letters, emails, school projects, theses, etc.) so that they sound natural, clear, and confident. I also teach English remotely through Zoom.
For English lessons, I use a conversational approach, catering to your specific needs. For writing lessons, you'll email me something you've written and I'll mark it up and provide feedback using the "track changes" and "comment bubble" features in Microsoft Word.
Email me to let me know about you and your English needs, and we can arrange an introductory lesson and/or a free sample edit. I look forward to helping you improve your English! For more information about me, please see my website:
