Job Title: Social Media Executive
Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week

What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive social media executive to join growing marketing department. You will be our “Go-To” person for all-things related to social media activities, including creating daily social media posts, researching new channels, monitoring new trends, and identifying new competitors. You will also take ownership of creating online events for past, current, and prospective students, and work closely with heads of department across our organisation to develop a social media strategy that raises brand awareness and increases engagement with our audience.

A typical day in the life of a social media executive:
• Hold a meeting with the head of copywriting and product managers to brainstorm ideas for a month-long facebook campaign to support the next intake of our Global MBA programme.
• Update your social media editorial calendar and posting schedule.
• Invite the head of the design department to discuss re-booting our Instagram account.
• Set up new social media accounts for a new academic partners to raise global awareness of their 100% online programmes.
• Check for messages or queries from students across all of our channels and respond accordingly; including forwarding trickier queries to the relevant head of department.
• Come up with some ideas for an exciting infographic campaign and request data and market research from our product managers to support its creation.
• Analyse and evaluate last month’s social media activities and campaigns, and suggest ways that we can improve our engagement next month.
• Organise a meeting with the copywriting team to discuss how they will support you with social media content for the next month.
• Christmas isn’t far away – and you’re already thinking about hilarious twitter feeds about our students having their degree diplomas delivered by Santa Claus (and you’re aware that this campaign will need to be region specific).

You’ll best fit our requirements with:
• Excellent organisational and communication skills and a keen dislike of the phrase: ‘this isn’t in my job description’.
• The ability to identify your own KPIs and communicate their achievement to the brand manager.
• An empathetic personality and the ability to engage with customers from diverse. backgrounds
• An understanding of how social media can be best managed to increase our lead rate.
• Excellent attention to detail and an eye for great design and layout.
• The ability to apply creativity and logic to all situations.
• Fluency in English and with experience creating content in the English language.
