Job Description:

We are seeking candidates for the position of QA Automation Engineer. The successful applicant must be a highly motivated individual who will take a proactive approach to assigned tasks. Experience in agile testing environments, experience with both manual and automated testing. Experience collaborating with QA Director, QA Automation Manager, Product Management and Development to ensure complete understanding of product and expectations. The ideal candidate must:

Be a highly motivated individual that will take a proactive approach and accountability of assigned tasks
Have ability to work independently under direction of QA Automation Manager and or QA Director
Have experience working and collaborating with QA and Development and Product Management resources through the entire process of planning and executing manual and automated testing solutions
Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills
Possess demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment by being a good TEAM player with the ability to deal with change, share knowledge, and pitch in where needed
Be dedicated to providing high quality software products
Have a strong understanding of product life-cycle
Extreme focus on Attention to Detail.

Job Functions:

Coordination with the QA Director to ensure that the processes are being followed and executed properly
Following and supporting agile practices
Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test scenarios to address business and technical use cases
Analyze and communicate automation test results
Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
Continually expand scope of automated test coverage and frameworks
Contribute to process improvements by identifying problems, driving discussion, and evaluating alternatives
Support the QA TEAM and process for engaging with developers, product managers, and services/operations personnel
Represent, the QA TEAM both locally and remotely by providing status updates and reports on QA execution and issues to the QA Director

Job Qualifications:

Understanding and supporting of QA processes and procedures
At least 2-5 years of software QA Automation experience, preferably in an Agile environment
Working knowledge of at least one automated testing tool such as Selenium
Experience in the financial services or banking industries
Test planning and test case design, development and maintenance.
Strong experience using Selenium
Knowledge of programming languages such as Java
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript
Familiarity with IDE’s such as VSCode, PyCharm or Eclipse
Working knowledge of application design and development processes, methodologies and standards
Prior experience with software development projects
Excellent English communications skills
Excellent ability to understand and express complex topics
Familiarity with Git
Knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) and experience working with build and release tools such as CircleCI, Rundeck, Maven Experience with code version systems like SVN, Git
Working knowledge of at least one scripting language is a plus
