POSITION SUMMARY

The role is responsible for general accounting tasks for Romania. The key tasks include advanced transactional booking, PEC coordination, payroll (excl. payroll provider tasks), account reconciliation, accounting booking checks and management and statutory/reporting.

The Sr. accounting specialist is key point of contact for any issue resolution, tax authorities inquires and any external/internal audit tasks. The GA is a guardian of general accounting principles, and continuously improves our data quality and internal processes and controls. 


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS 

Period close (2 days)

-      Advances SAP bookings. Overseeing correctness of bookings by our shared service centre.


Balance sheet reconciliation (2 days)

-      making sure that our account balances are correct and have supporting documentation attached


Taxes & statutory accounting (5-10 days up to time in the year)

-      VAT calculation and declaration submission each month

-      Statistic reporting

-      Together with controlling manager coordinate audit/tax inspections: Co-operate closely with external auditors and tax advisors during audits, inspections, CIT calculation, tax returns

-      Communicate with the official romanian representatives


Payroll (2 days)

-      Accrual calculation, booking of the expats SWB, expenses

-      Regular payroll is done by external agency!


Other:

-      Challenge status quo in data quality/compliance. Drive process improvement
