Job Summary

The Red Hat Support Delivery team is looking for a fluent German speaker with an interest in learning about Linux and other Red Hat’s technologies to join us as a Multilingual Customer Support Specialist in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you will work as part of a multicultural and multilingual customer-facing technical support team that handles support requests from enterprise customers via telephone and web tickets. You’ll cooperate with technical support engineers by providing high-quality translations from German and one other European language (French, Spanish, or Italian) to English. You’ll maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, own the communication between customers and senior engineers, and collaborate with a global technical team. As a Customer Support Specialist, you will get an opportunity to attend both technical and non-technical training. No previous professional technical experience will be required, as training will be provided to all employees.


Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers on a daily basis regarding technical and customer service queries; record and document issues
  • Translate queries and technical updates from customers in German and at least one additional European language (French, Spanish, or Italian) to and from written and spoken English
  • Work in a team of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) technical support engineers and cooperate with support management when necessary in order to resolve customer requests
  • Progressively solve more customer issues by yourself as your technical skills grow
